Clarity Records – shop (Adelaide): Great shop currently located on Pulteney Street in Adelaide (city), that compliments world-wide releases with a deep stock of local releases. Matt is a veritable expert on early Australian punk (well known, and less well-known), and all things Minor Threat/Fugazi.

Vicious Sloth – shop (Malvern, Melbourne): Melbourne institution. All I can say is I’ve got quite a few rare & interesting discs from them over years, and they grade accurately, and every time the package is professionally packed and sent quickly. It’s like getting stuff from Japan, but in Australia. I’ve always had a good experience dealing with them.
AMRAP – Community Broadcasting Association of Australia – web site for emerging Australian artists: Digital platform with brief samples that works as a mechanism for Australian community radio stations to source new Australian music, and for new Australian artists to present their music for airplay. I’ve discovered all kinds of great stuff across all genres on it. I’d also recommend it as a source for East Asian music industry people to sample recent Australian music that may be sitting under the radar for now.

The map function can search nationwide, by state, city, region, Local Government Area, etc. Overseas born is a good reference point, but Ancestory will capture a broader scope of identities, including 2nd+ generation Australians from E.A. backgrounds.

Zenith Records – vinyl pressing plant: Located in Melbourne, Australia and responsible for manufacturing no end of glorious vinyl discs in recent years. I’ve had discs pressed by them when I was in Korea, and have been very happy with the quality and turn-around time.
